Everything you need to know about my services of the wedding photographer in Tuscany
Frequently Asked Questions
This FAQ collects the most common questions I receive from couples and families planning a photography session in Tuscany. It’s designed to help you understand my approach, the experience I offer, and what to expect before, during and after your session.
Approach & Experience
1. What is your photography style?
My approach is documentary with an editorial sensibility. I focus on real moments, natural light and emotional storytelling – never forced poses, never staged situations. Each story is photographed as it unfolds, with discreet guidance only when needed to help you feel comfortable.
2. Do you give direction during the session?
Only when necessary. Most of the time I offer simple guidance to help you relax, then let moments unfold naturally. The goal isn’t to “pose well”, but to be present and connected.
3. We’re not used to being photographed. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Most of the people I photograph feel the same. My role is to make the experience relaxed and natural, so you can simply be yourselves and enjoy the day
Services & Occasions
1. What types of photography services do you offer?
I photograph:
– traditional and destination weddings, micro‑weddings, elopements and vow renewals;
– engagement and couple sessions;
– surprise proposals;
– family and multi‑generational reunion sessions.
All these services are available in Tuscany and, by request, throughout Italy and abroad.2. What is the difference between a proposal and an engagement session?
A proposal documents the instant you ask the question: spontaneous and emotional. An engagement or couple session is a relaxed shoot organised after the proposal, dedicated to telling your connection in locations you choose together.
3. Do you photograph intimate weddings, elopements and vow renewals?
Yes – they’re especially meaningful to me. Smaller celebrations allow for deeper storytelling and a slower, more intentional experience.
4. Do you offer shorter coverage for weddings or elopements?
Yes. Coverage is tailored to your story: from full‑day coverage for traditional weddings to more streamlined coverage for elopements, vow renewals or micro‑weddings.
5. Can we combine different services?
Absolutely. Many couples book an engagement session or a proposal before their wedding, or choose to include a family session during their stay in Italy.
6. Do you photograph family sessions and reunions?
Yes. I regularly photograph families on holiday in Tuscany and multi‑generational reunions. These sessions are relaxed, natural and focused on authentic connections within the group.
Planning & Locations
1. Will you help us choose the location?
I’m not a wedding planner, but I know Tuscany well. I can suggest places and times that highlight the light and atmosphere – such as private villas, the hills of Chianti, Pienza and the Val d’Orcia, historic villages or viewpoints over Florence. For proposals, I’ll help you find the perfect spot and plan every detail.
2. Do you work with wedding planners?
Yes. I often collaborate with planners for weddings and elopements, and I value clear communication and teamwork.
3. Do you shoot outside Tuscany?
Yes. I’m available for weddings and sessions across Italy and Europe. Travel costs are included in your quote.
4. Are permits required for certain locations?
Sometimes, particularly in historic cities or private properties. I’ll guide you through this process and, if needed, work with your planner to obtain the permits.
5. How far in advance should we book?
For weddings and elopements it’s best to book as early as possible (at least 6–12 months), because peak-season dates fill quickly. Proposals, couple sessions and family shoots can often be arranged with just a few weeks’ notice, but the sooner you contact me, the more options we have for date and location.
Coverage & Logistics
1. How many hours of coverage do you offer?
Coverage is personalised according to the service and the story to tell. A wedding often requires a full day, while an elopement or vow renewal may last a few hours. Engagements, proposals and family sessions usually last between 1 and 1½ hours to keep things enjoyable and stress‑free.
2. Do you work alone or with a second photographer?
For full wedding coverage I recommend a second photographer, especially if you’re getting ready in different locations or want multiple angles. For elopements, proposals, engagement and family sessions I work alone to maintain a discreet atmosphere.
3. How does a surprise proposal session work?
We plan every detail together, choosing the location and time. I hide or blend into the surroundings so I’m not noticed; the actual question takes only minutes. After the proposal, I give you time to savour the moment. Once you’re ready, we take a short couple session to celebrate.
4. How long is an engagement or couple session?
Generally about an hour or a little more. This allows us to explore one or two locations, adapt to changing light and give you time to fully relax.
5. How long is a family or reunion session?
About 1 to 1½ hours. This gives us enough time to photograph all members, combine group portraits and candid shots, and let children play and have fun.
Images, Editing & Delivery
1. How many photos will we receive?
I don’t limit the number of images. You’ll receive a complete, carefully curated story with no redundant shots.
2. Are all the images edited?
Yes. Every photograph I deliver is individually selected and edited in my natural, timeless style.
3. When will we receive our photos?
Timelines vary by service and season. Proposals, couple sessions and family shoots are delivered within a few weeks; weddings and elopements take a few weeks more. I always provide a precise estimate beforehand.
4. How are the photos delivered?
Through a private online gallery where you can view, download high‑resolution images and share them easily. The gallery stays active for one year; you can renew it on request. You can also order fine‑art prints and albums directly from the gallery.
5. Do you offer albums or prints?
Yes. I design bespoke fine‑art albums and offer professional prints to preserve your story over time. Each product is crafted with care and high‑quality materials.
Privacy & Usage
1. Will you publish our photos online?
Only if you’re happy for me to do so. I respect your privacy deeply and will share images publicly only with your explicit consent.
2. Can we ask you not to publish anything?
Absolutely. If you prefer your photos to remain private, I will fully respect that and arrange discreet delivery.
3. Will our images be protected?
Yes. The online gallery is password‑protected, and only those with the link can access your photos.
Pricing & Booking
1. How is pricing determined?
Pricing depends on the type of service, coverage and location. I create custom quotes rather than standard packages, so I can tailor the experience to your needs.
2. Is a deposit required to book?
Yes. The date is reserved only after the contract is signed and the non‑refundable deposit is paid.
3. How do we book you?
Simply complete the form on the Contact page. I’ll reply personally to learn about your story and guide you through the next steps.
4. What happens if we need to reschedule?
I try to be flexible. If you need to reschedule, contact me and we’ll find a new date within my availability.
5. Can we pay in instalments?
Payments are typically split into an initial deposit to secure the date and the balance before delivery. If you need a different arrangement, we can discuss it together.
